As Senior Designer , Michelle worked on Prestigious Private Residences for the Royal Family in Brunei, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. In addition Michelle designed many of the Restaurant facilities at the The Empire Hotel and Country Club in Brunei, including Beach Facilities and the stand alone Cascades Asian Restaurant.

 

The Empire Hotel & Country Club is an astounding property nestling on the shores of the South China Sea in the tiny sultanate of Brunei. Tucked on the Northwest corner of the island of Borneo, between sea and jungle on the border with Malaysia.

Now a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, offer stunning views of the gorges and bridge below. Steeped in history  and one of the oldest hotels in Africa.

ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING

Good architectural planning is a key role as forms follow function and it is an essential element for all aspects of saftely and usage for the guests. We first listen to your requirements and determine your preferences for the spaces. We focus both equally on the functionality of a space and also its aesthetics. At MEA, our professional team create space planning with a cohesive understanding and we specialize both in designing new spaces and in refurbishing existing spaces

                CONCEPT DESIGN

Concept Design is the creative process to tell your story. We bring your vision into reality with a central theme that all the design elements are focused upon. At MEA our concept designs are a visual theme that evokes a specific mood by strategically using color, space and style. Our designers work with  3D renderings by hand or with CGI,s showing selected choices, from materials to furniture with your design goals in mind.

                FF&E DESIGN

FF&E (furniture, fixtures & equipment) has an important role in the design of all our projects .It's an interactive process that starts early on in the design phases. It’s all about layering. At MEA our designers have an ability to create a feeling through textures, fabrics, and lighting while understanding how they will impact the interiors and guests's interaction. Combining a knowledge of the latest products and our hospitality experiences, we can select the best materials to use in terms of their functionality and we have an understanding of how the right volumes and scale affect the overall spaces.

             BESPOKE FURNITURE

We Create Bespoke furniture items by  working closely with artisans and suppliers across the globe in over 21 countries . At MEA we believe in the power of bespoke design to elevate any space. Every piece we create is built from scratch for a specific space, and uniquely design for each project.We can customize each item in various ways using the finest quality of finishes delivery that personal touch for our clients. Our designers produce techincal  drawings and we visit each stage of the development in the workshops prior to the  final production. The results are beautiful, glamorous, and make your project stand out.

             BESPOKE LIGHTING

Customised and bespoke lighting is tailored uniquely for our projects providing our spaces with a creative freedom to make the lighting stand out. We work closely with artisan and suppliers across the globe to achieve the best results. We can customize each item in various ways in terms of colour, scale and materials for each project. We are involved with each stage of the design development with the workshops, prior to the  final production. The   results are beautiful and striking, like shinning jewels that  make your project stand out.

             BESPOKE RUGS & CARPETS

Designing rugs and carpets has always been a personal passion of our Creative director Michelle Evans. Conceptual to Creation Michelle has quickly changed the face of the rug industry with her unique designs that have won her over 16 international design awards. Exhibiting from Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Germany and Venice Biennale, Michelle has established a solid reputation for her Avant Garde and ground breaking textural designs. Her is to  create a three dimensional artwork that become a two dimensional object in the interior, that evokes a personal emotion.

             TECHNICAL DESIGN

Design is in the details and at MEA we have a passion for achieving this Philosophy in all our projects. Having successfully  completed various projects globally our professional team has established a high level of  specifications and technical drawing packages to achieve successful results. We ensure all the design aspects, your goals and the operational brand standards are all inclusive. Our technical drawings contain all the information plans, elevations, details, sections that the suppliers and the contractor would need to build the project.

We work closely with all contractors to ensure that your project meets the highest standards of quality. Whether it is a new construction or a renovation project we offer on site supervision through all stages of a Project. At MEA we see that every phase is done in the best possible way.We ensure that the on site works are in accordance with the schemes, drawings and specifications approved by our clients. Our professional designers have a wealth of experience and manage people, time, schedules, reports and also recommended adjustments for the final project.

Styling is just one small component of design which we create as another added Layer to our spaces. At MEA our approach is to balance its function, form and aesthetics to get the best possible results.

We create individually designed and fully bespoke tailored uniforms that your staff would be proud to wear. We work with experienced uniform makers and highly skilled tailors to create that personal touch. In addition we also offer full design services for graphics and signage  from concepts to technical packages, all tailored with their own distinctive style for your project. We review prototypes sampling and are involved with all stages of the design to give you a comprehensive service.

                BESPOKE ARTWORKS

Art plays a key role in all our projects which help us to tell the design story, by bringing bold elements into the spaces we create.They are a focal point, whether they are installed traditionally or designed as a bespoke mural on a featured  wall. They act as a backdrop for many of our projects and we are passionate about over scaled artworks.Be Bold and be Brave is our philosophy as Art will always inspire you and sometimes magically surprise you. Our designers create both Art Collections and styling accessories for all your projects needs. We prepare full specifications and work closely with artists from across the globe.
